Transaction Monitoring Analyst

Job Description

GoCardless is seeking a customer-centric Transaction Monitoring Analyst to join their newly established Transaction Monitoring team in Riga, Latvia. The analyst will be part of the wider Risk Operations team, helping to deliver an exceptional experience to GoCardless's fast-growing customer base while protecting the company from financial crime risks. This role offers the opportunity to work 2 days a week from home after the probation period.Responsibilities:

• Conducting in-depth investigations into transactions and spotting unusual behavior.
• Carrying out enhanced due diligence reviews and complex risk assessments.
• Assessing suspicious accounts or behaviors and completing detailed internal SARs.
• Taking ownership of new tools and processes, identifying inefficiencies, and driving towards improvement and automation.
• Working as part of a newly established team towards daily/weekly targets.

Requirements:

• Strong Transaction Monitoring background and investigations experience.
• Experience in drafting unusual activity reports and an understanding of AML typologies and transaction monitoring systems.
• Flawless command of English.
• Experience in transaction monitoring and investigations or within a QC/QA team.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Proactive and creative problem solver.
• Ability to keep calm under pressure.
• Comfortable working with internal stakeholders.
