Technical Lead - SRE

Job Description

MaintainX is seeking a Technical Lead - SRE to join their Catalyst team. This role is pivotal in driving technical excellence and cross-team collaboration within the engineering department. The Technical Lead will lead a team of 2-4 developers, championing engineering excellence and facilitating collaboration across the organization. This is a hands-on technical leadership role where the candidate will be actively involved in implementing solutions while guiding their team. The Technical Lead will play a crucial role in driving the adoption of DevOps practices and ensuring the effectiveness of engineering initiatives. Their work will empower teams to own and deliver high-quality software efficiently and at scale, while providing guidance, mentorship, and strategic input to help shape the future of MaintainX's engineering organization.What this role involves:

• Leading by example through hands-on technical contributions.
• Championing and driving the adoption of “shift left” practices.
• Acting as a bridge between development teams and Scale teams.
• Acting as a forward observer for technical leadership.
• Providing hands-on technical coaching and mentorship.
• Onboarding new hires.

Requirements:

• 3+ years implementing and ensuring the adoption of “shift left” strategies.
• Deep understanding of DevOps practices, tools, and culture.
• Experience bridging platform and development teams.
• Good communication and storytelling skills.
• Track record of building high-performing teams.
• Fundamental understanding of Kubernetes and IaC tools.
