Job Description
MaintainX is seeking a Sales Compensation Lead to oversee commissions processes and support team growth. The Sales Compensation Lead will report to the Finance Operations Manager and supervise the Commissions Analyst, collaborate on workload execution, strategize on incentives structures and continuously improve processes. The role involves ensuring data integrity, becoming a CaptivateIQ expert, and building scalable practices.Responsibilities:
  • Take ownership of the commission's workload and collaborate with the Commissions Analyst.
  • Lead the other members of the Commissions Team.
  • Lead final review and sign-off on commissions calculations.
  • Take ownership of attainment tracking for all Sales teams across different systems.
  • Lead process or system transitions smoothly, including ad-hoc changes to compensation plans.
  • Identify and implement best practices for scalable, efficient commissions processes.
  • Serve as the in-house expert for CaptivateIQ.
  • Partner with Revenue Operations to ensure compensation plans are effectively implemented and maintained.
  • Assist the Finance Operations Manager with scalability planning.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or other quantitative field.
  • 4+ years of experience in sales compensation at a high-growth SaaS company.
  • Strong proficiency in commissions processes and compensation plan execution.
  • Familiarity with incentive compensation design or experience working with Sales and RevOps teams on plan structures.
  • Hands-on experience with CaptivateIQ or similar commissions software.
  • Experience with Salesforce.
  • Proven ability to manage complex workflows, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
  • Advanced Excel/Google Sheets proficiency (e.g., complex formulas, pivot tables, macros)
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Ability to collaborate across time zones.
