Copywriter (6 month FTC)

Job Description

DEPT® is seeking a Copywriter for a 6-month fixed-term contract in Toronto. The Copywriter will join the Personalised Content team, creating impactful digital communications for clients like eBay and Walmart. The ideal candidate will transform complex briefs into targeted, effective messaging, focusing on clarity, strategy, and conversion for B2B audiences.

Role involves:

• Writing, editing, and optimizing email and CRM content for B2B clients.
• Developing engaging subject lines, CTAs, headlines, and body copy.
• Translating strategic briefs into clear, actionable content.
• Collaborating with creative, design, and account teams.
• Producing consistent, high-quality content across multiple platforms.
• Developing fresh, strategic perspectives for B2B messaging.

Requirements:

• 2-3 years of copywriting experience, focused on B2B communications.
• Strong experience in creating email content or CRM campaigns.
• Solid understanding of B2B communication strategy.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with creativity and organization.
• Familiarity with Figma or similar copy-design workflow tools (a plus).
• Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in writing style.
