Launch Potato is seeking a Director of Syndication at FinanceBuzz to define and lead the content strategy across key syndication platforms. This role involves setting the editorial vision, refining the brand voice, and creating a roadmap for long-term revenue and audience growth. The Director will analyze large data sets to identify patterns and insights, translating them into a content strategy that delivers measurable results. They will work closely with the Editorial Operations Manager to ensure efficient production and stay deeply involved in the day-to-day work, including sprint planning, editing, headline writing, and photo selection.FinanceBuzz is looking for someone who can oversee a high-performing editorial team, mentor senior editorial staff, and make data-driven decisions to maximize reach, revenue, and impact. The ideal candidate is both visionary and operational, capable of developing a high-level strategy while providing clear editorial direction and optimizing content performance.
Responsibilities: - Define and lead a high-impact content strategy across syndication platforms
- Maintain FinanceBuzz’s editorial voice and excellence
- Monitor and interpret performance data to iterate on content strategy
- Review, edit, and approve content to uphold editorial standards
- Collaborate cross-functionally with SEO, Monetization, and Analytics teams
- Mentor and manage a team of in-house and freelance writers and editors
- Represent the Syndication team in company meetings
- Introduce bold editorial experiments to improve content performance
Requirements: - Proven ability to lead high-volume editorial operations
- Fluency in content syndication platforms
- Mastery of Looker and Google Sheets
- Adept at leading a team and developing scalable strategies
- Exceptional editorial judgment and creative ideation skills
- An open mind around the implementation of AI
- 7+ years of digital editorial leadership experience
