Truveta is seeking a Software Engineer to join their team in Seattle. This is an entry-level fullstack role focused on semantic normalization. The ideal candidate will be a recent graduate with a passion for using technology to improve healthcare.
As a Software Engineer at Truveta, he/she will:
- Build reliable and user-friendly software solutions using modern cloud-based tools and practices.
- Collaborate with teammates to develop and test components of Truveta’s platform, including web interfaces and backend services.
- Participate in code reviews and learn best practices for writing clean, maintainable code.
- Explore and contribute to proof-of-concept integrations within Truveta’s ecosystem under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Embrace curiosity and a growth mindset to learn about healthcare technology and deliver on our mission.
- Adhere to Truveta’s principles of ethical innovation, privacy, and security, with ongoing training provided.
The key qualifications for this role include:
- A recent / expected graduate from a program in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology or related field of study
- Familiarity with programming in one or more modern languages (e.g.: JavaScript, dotnet, python, java) through coursework, internships, or personal projects
- Basic understanding of web development or backend development (e.g., HTML, CSS, REST APIs, databases, server-side logic)
- Interest in learning about distributed systems, data pipelines, or healthcare technology
- Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn in a collaborative team setting
- Passion for Truveta’s mission to improve healthcare through data
