Clinical Research Coordinator

Job Description

The Clinical Research Coordinator position at West Cancer Center is responsible for managing oncology patients participating in pharmaceutical-sponsored clinical trials. The coordinator will screen, enroll, and follow study patients to ensure protocol compliance, adhering to Good Clinical Practice and FDA regulations. This role requires prior experience in clinical trial management and a strong understanding of research protocols.Responsibilities:

• Recruits subjects for clinical trials.
• Screens potential subjects for trial eligibility.
• Educates staff nurses on protocol therapy administration and side effects.
• Educates patients on protocol therapy, medication schedules, and side effect management.
• Serves as a liaison between the Research Team and other clinic departments.
• Protects the rights, safety, and welfare of patients.
• Obtains and maintains informed consents.
• Reviews and stays updated on protocols, amendments, and regulations.
• Interfaces with various medical staff and departments.

Requirements:

• Associates degree or equivalent.
• 1-2 years related experience and/or training.
• RN certification preferred.
• Excellent organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in computer applications.
