Senior Accountant

Job Description

Notion, a company focused on making software customizable, is seeking a highly motivated Senior Accountant to join its growing accounting team. This role is crucial for building scalable processes to support Notion's financial reporting and compliance needs. The Senior Accountant will manage the general ledger, account reconciliations, and provide audit and financial reporting support, with a focus on efficiency and quality.What this role involves:

• Designing and implementing scalable corporate accounting policies and procedures.
• Developing system reports to increase close efficiencies.
• Owning parts of the month-end close, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Contributing to the financial audit process.
• Completing monthly variance analysis.
• Collaborating with stakeholders to improve processes.

Requirements:

• A degree in Accounting (CPA a plus).
• 4+ years of experience in public or private accounting, preferably with tech companies.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP.
• Experience developing scalable and controlled processes.
• Proficiency with NetSuite, Zip, Navan, Ramp, or similar accounting software.
• Understanding of foreign currency and intercompany transactions.
