Customer Success Manager

Job Description

Planet is seeking a Customer Success Manager for Japan to manage and expand relationships with military and governmental agencies. The Customer Success Manager will act as the main point of contact for customers, focusing on retention and satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Japanese military and/or government agencies and navigating complex government structures.Role involves:

• Building and maintaining strong relationships with government customers.
• Identifying expansion opportunities and collaborating with sales teams.
• Facilitating training and onboarding for customers.
• Advocating for feature enhancements and product improvements.
• Supporting customer needs, case studies, and events.
• Sharing insights on key accounts and contributing to strategies for future success.

Requirements:

• Ability to manage customer relationships.
• 4+ years of experience in Customer Success, Account Management, or a related field.
• Good working knowledge of GIS, remote sensing, and Earth observation technologies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Japanese.
• Proficiency in English.
• Experience working with Japanese government agencies and enterprise customers.
• Experience working cross-functionally with sales, product, and technical teams.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize job requirements.
• Willingness to travel.
