Job Description
Planet is seeking a Solutions Architect II to join its Professional Services team in Europe. This role focuses on helping government customers adopt the Planet Platform and realize the return on investment in Planet data and analytics. The Solutions Architect will be responsible for the implementation, integration, and analysis of new software and data products that extend the Planet Platform and deliver new capabilities to federal customers. The position is based in Mons, Belgium, requiring 5 days per week in the customer's office. Relocation assistance is available.
What this role involves:
  • Building and maintaining APIs for enterprise and federal customers.
  • Understanding client needs and delivering tailored solutions.
  • Defining, creating, and analyzing usage metrics to drive customer growth.
  • Leveraging analytical skills to deliver products to federal customers and support mission requirements.
  • Participating in team on-call rotation to support production services.
Requirements:
  • Computer science, software/systems engineering, or related degree.
  • 6+ years of relevant work experience, with 5+ years supporting NATO and/or DoD/IC customers.
  • Specialized technical experience in systems integration and intelligence analysis.
  • Proficiency in Golang, Python, Postgresql, & React or related technologies.
  • Experience with cloud deployments (GCP, AWS, Azure).
  • Experience designing and evolving public-facing APIs.
  • Experience solving complex problems through analytical skills.
  • Experience scaling and maintaining production systems.
