Job Description
Truffle Security is seeking a Senior Developer Advocate with an application security background to bridge the gap between their open-source community and TruffleHog. This role involves amplifying user voices, creating educational content, and driving adoption of TruffleHog across individual users and enterprise teams. The Senior Developer Advocate will collaborate with research, engineering, product, and marketing teams to enhance the developer experience, showcase practical integrations, and translate community feedback into actionable product insights.

What this role involves:
  • Creating content such as blog posts, videos, tutorials, and demos to show developers and security engineers how to integrate TruffleHog into their workflows.
  • Leading hands-on workshops, webinars, and community sessions to teach secrets management best practices and showcase TruffleHog’s capabilities.
  • Participating in GitHub issues, Slack/Discord, Stack Overflow, and other forums to answer questions and gather feedback.
  • Partnering with engineering and product teams to relay community feedback that improves both open-source and enterprise offerings.
  • Representing Truffle Security at conferences, meetups, and security events through talks and demos focused on secret scanning and DevSecOps best practices.

Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience within application security, with a strong grasp of AppSec core concepts.
  • 2+ years of hands-on coding experience in DevOps, software engineering, or related fields.
  • Experience creating technical content or delivering presentations.
  • Proven experience engaging with developer, DevOps, or security communities.
  • Comfortable collaborating across engineering, security, product, and marketing teams.
