Job Description
Algolia is seeking a Software Engineer to join its AI Search Group in Paris. The company is known for its search-as-you-type experience and provides a search API used globally. The AI Search Group focuses on enhancing core search capabilities, including pre-query and post-query relevance.
The Software Engineer will contribute to the design and development of ranking and understanding features, collaborate with a diverse team, and ensure the quality of pipelines. Algolia emphasizes a flexible workplace, allowing for remote or hybrid work options.
Role Involves:
- Designing and developing ranking & understanding features
- Collaborating with a diverse team of front-end developers and machine learning specialists
- Ensuring the quality and soundness of pipelines
Requirements:
- Experience designing and operating pipelines in production
- Experience working with large datasets and high traffic
- Interest in solving Ranking challenges
- Experience in building and maintaining API services
- Rigor in high code quality, automated testing, and other engineering best practices
- Experience using one of the major cloud providers (GCP, AWS or Azure)
- Excellent spoken and written English skills
