Job Description
Blackbird Health is seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, treatment planning, and medication management for children, adolescents, and young adults. The practitioner will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care and make a tangible difference in the lives of young patients and their families.
Role Involves:
- Conducting psychiatric evaluations, assessments, and diagnoses.
- Creating personalized treatment plans for children and adolescents.
- Providing education and consultation for patients and their families.
- Collaborating with healthcare professionals on integrated treatment plans and medication management.
- Managing diagnostic testing, including digital and lab results.
- Participating in team and supervisory clinical meetings.
- Maintaining patient records and confidentiality.
Requirements:
- Mission-driven and excited to change the landscape of behavioral health for youth.
- Experience working with kids and adolescents as a psychiatric nurse practitioner.
- Practiced independently at the top of your scope for at least one year under licensure.
- Excellent communication skills and love working in a collaborative, team-based environment.
- Open to feedback and eager to learn and grow in a supportive clinical community.
- Flexibility to work a minimum of 12 hours per week during peak after-school hours.
- Flexibility to work in person at one of our clinics at least 1 day per week as needed.
- Master’s Degree from an accredited nursing program, PMHNP-BC certification.
- At least one year of independent psychiatric experience working under licensure.
- Active Pennsylvania PMHNP/CRNP/APN license, DEA license, and State Prescriptive Authority.
