Job Description
Affirm is seeking an experienced Internal Auditor II to join their Technology Audit team. This role involves contributing to the ongoing development of the Internal Audit function and supporting Affirm's business objectives. The Internal Auditor II will report to the Lead of Technology Audit and collaborate with the Internal Audit team to conduct audits and reviews that positively impact business outcomes.

Role involves:
  • Collaborating with Vertical Leads, Business Stakeholders, and IA Partners in performing various stages of Internal Audit projects.
  • Executing audits focused on technology areas such as Cybersecurity and Data Protection, Data Integrity, System Resiliency, and Technology Compliance.
  • Completing specific areas of audit projects using standard audit methodology to evaluate risk and verify the effectiveness of Affirm’s processes, controls, and systems.
  • Supporting Affirm’s Annual SOX program by assisting with walkthroughs, documentation gathering, control testing, and issue remediation.
  • Contributing to Affirm’s Internal Audit strategy and roadmap.
  • Supporting audit issue remediation validation and closure procedures.
  • Informing Internal Audit management of project status, potential roadblocks, and results.

Requirements:
  • At least 3-5 years of professional experience in internal or external technology audit.
  • Demonstrated ability in a senior internal control or internal audit role.
  • Experience with similar roles in FinTech, Financial Services, Retail, SaaS, or technology-related companies, or with Big 4 audit firms.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study (e.g., Accounting Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting, Finance).
  • Preferred certification in CISA, CISSP, CISM, or CRISC.
  • Ability to understand sophisticated processes and document them in narrative and workflow formats.
  • Strong project/task management and prioritization skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, and technical writing skills.
  • Technical experience in information security, data warehouses, Python, SQL, DevOps, or AWS is a plus.
