Job Description
Science Corporation is seeking a motivated Equipment Engineer to support the technical aspects of their MEMS Foundry facility expansion in North Carolina. This role involves tool acquisition, installation, and operation for various semiconductor processes within Class 100 and Class 1000 cleanrooms. The Equipment Engineer will collaborate with leadership, engineering, and process technician teams to promptly address and resolve tool-related issues.Role responsibilities include:
  • Supporting semiconductor equipment procurement, installation, and maintenance.
  • Assisting with basic facilities installations.
  • Coordinating with subcontractors on complex installations.
  • Troubleshooting and repairing electrical and electronic systems.
  • Interpreting electrical schematics and flow charts.
  • Placing orders for spare and replacement parts.
  • Supporting the Continuous Improvement Program to meet ISO 9001:2015 requirements.
  • Ensuring compliance with Company policies and OSHA rules.
Key qualifications include:
  • Familiarity with semiconductor equipment for photolithography, RIE, thin-film deposition, LPCVD/diffusion, electroplating, and more.
  • Exceptional problem-solving ability and deep technical knowledge.
  • Extensive mechanical and electrical experience.
  • Self-starter with innovative and efficient work methods.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
