Smartsheet, a company with over 20 years of experience in helping teams achieve their goals, is seeking a Product Designer II to join their Content & Collaboration team. This role will focus on shaping how people work together and manage content within the Smartsheet platform. The Product Designer II will play a key role in crafting the future of collaborative work by designing intuitive and intelligent experiences that empower teams to connect, collaborate, and create effortlessly.

The role involves:

  • Advocating for the needs of the audience leveraging design thinking.
  • Optimizing experiences through A/B testing and experimentation.
  • Partnering with research and data teams to inform design decisions.
  • Boosting design quality and contributing to research.
  • Contributing to and using defined patterns, guides, tools, and libraries.
  • Explaining and defending ideas and solutions.
  • Working cross-functionally with partners and cross-product relationships.
  • Creating understanding across product teams to launch new features.
  • Building and iterating on features that enrich the customer experience.

Requirements for the role include:

  • 3+ years of experience as a Product Designer or similar role.
  • Strong visual design skills and ability to influence design quality.
  • Ability to deliver complex experiences that scale within SAAS or enterprise environments.
  • Exudes leadership qualities demonstrated through work and mentoring others.
  • Experience facilitating activities to align on goals, outcomes and requirements across the organization.
  • Applied understanding of the relationships between hierarchy, interaction, typography, color, and layout.
  • Desire to learn and evolve thinking across all areas of design, product, and leadership.
  • Degree in Design (Interaction, Product, HCD, or related) or equivalent experience.
