Job Description
Appian is seeking a Senior Manager, Business Technology to join their Business Technology Operations team. This role balances technical leadership and project management, requiring hands-on technical project involvement. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with software development and cloud organizations. This position is based at Appian's Headquarters in McLean, Virginia, and requires in-office presence 5 days a week.
The role involves:
- Managing multiple small teams within the Business Technology Operations team.
- Serving as a technical leader and mentor for the team.
- Implementing and maintaining project management practices.
- Ensuring computer equipment, hardware, and software are maintained.
- Supporting organizational cost efficiency with standardized products and financial auditing.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of experience in IT operations or a relevant field.
- Extensive knowledge of operating systems, virtual environments, security concepts, telecommunications, and networking concepts.
- Experience implementing ITIL methodologies.
- Demonstrated success building teams and developing early-career hires.
- Attention to detail and exceptional customer service skills.
