Job Description
The Student Hotel is seeking a highly motivated Chef de Commis for their Madrid location. This full-time position requires a passionate individual eager to develop their skills within the company. The Chef de Commis will play a crucial role in assisting with food preparation, maintaining kitchen operations, and upholding hygiene standards. The Student Hotel is known for its fun, creative, and inspiring environment, offering a unique hybrid hospitality concept that combines hotel services with student accommodation, coworking spaces, and various social events.
What this role involves:
- Assisting in food preparation and basic cooking
- Ensuring accurate measurements of dish ingredients and portion sizes
- Reacting to the needs of the senior chefs
- Managing deliveries and stock rotation
- Maintaining high standards of hygiene
Requirements:
- Fluency in Spanish and proficiency in English
- Preferably 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role
- Friendly and welcoming demeanor
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and multitask effectively
- Flexibility, motivation, and strong organizational skills
- Legal authorization to work in Spain
