The Social Hub is seeking a Host/Hostess to be the welcoming face of their Glasgow location. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys connecting with people and thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment. The Host/Hostess will manage guest flow, handle reservations, and ensure a smooth and welcoming experience for all guests. They will work closely with a dynamic team and contribute to the vibrant atmosphere of The Social Hub.
What this role involves:
- Greeting guests with a warm welcome.
- Managing reservations via phone, email, and booking systems.
- Coordinating guest seating with the front-of-house and kitchen teams.
- Monitoring wait times and guest needs.
- Maintaining the host stand and entrance area.
- Assisting with service tasks.
- Informing guests about menus, specials, and events.
- Sharing guest feedback with the team.
Requirements:
- At least 6 months of experience in a guest-facing hospitality role.
- Experience using digital booking systems.
- A warm and polished presence.
- Clear communication skills.
- Ability to stay calm under pressure.
- Team-first attitude.
- Fluency in English.
