Job Description
Verkada is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to join their dynamic team focused on building cloud-managed access control systems. This role offers the opportunity to work on a startup-within-a-startup, with significant ownership and autonomy. The engineer will collaborate with firmware, backend, and frontend engineers to develop the Access Control product line, which allows users to manage doors, schedules, and user credentials remotely.
Role involves:
- Developing cloud-managed access control systems.
- Collaborating with firmware, backend, and frontend engineers.
- Managing doors, schedules, and user credentials remotely.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of industry software engineering experience.
- Mastery of JavaScript (Scoping, closures, contexts, prototypes, classes, etc.).
- Expertise in React.
- Strong architectural understanding of custom components, custom UI, and cross-browser support.
- Eye for design, product details, and polish.
- Understanding of HTTP and practical debugging techniques.
- Working knowledge of at least one server-side framework and one database system.
- Degree in Computer Science or related Engineering field.
