Job Description
Lush Cosmetics is seeking an Ethical Buyer - Raw Materials for a 12-month contract. This role involves collaborating with the Buying Team, adapting to business needs, and analyzing stakeholder requirements. The Ethical Buyer will report to the Buying Manager and manage a portfolio of raw materials and packaging, develop purchasing strategies, identify cost savings, research suppliers, and support regenerative projects.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of raw materials and/or packaging
- Identify cost savings and negotiate improved terms
- Research and approve suppliers and materials
- Collaborate with the team and contribute to objectives
- Visit suppliers to deepen relationships
- Support the development of new regenerative projects
- Ensure quality control and material compliance
- Train and support factory buyers
- Work with global buyers to coordinate supply
- Manage inventory and spend within budget
- Establish targets and report on results
- Support different departments as needed
- Contribute to special projects
Requirements:
- 5+ years in supply chain management
- Critical thinking skills in ethics
- Commitment to ongoing learning
- Love for LUSH and understanding of Lush values
- Experience in a seasonal, high-pressure environment
- Advanced communication skills
- Proven team player
- Proficiency in MS Office and Google suite
- Knowledge of ERP systems (Microsoft AX)
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally
