Systems Modeling Engineer, Efficiency and Performance

Job Description

Lucid Motors is seeking a Systems Modeling Engineer to join their Efficiency, Performance, and Systems team. In this role, the engineer will develop, validate, and utilize models of physical systems within electric vehicles to address design and performance questions. The ideal candidate will have a can-do attitude and a passion for creating a sustainable future.Role involves:

• Developing and maintaining system models for mechanical, electrical, and thermal problems.
• Building tools to support simulation parameter processing and result analysis.
• Analyzing the impact of parameter changes on component and system behavior.
• Collaborating with engineering departments to understand physics and collect model parameters.
• Coupling the effects of various EV systems, including motor, gearbox, battery, and HVAC.
• Performing CFD simulations on HVAC and thermal system components.
• Collaborating with vehicle testing teams to validate models.

Requirements:
