Sr. Director, Direct Procurement

Job Description

Lucid Motors is seeking a Sr. Director of Direct Procurement to lead sourcing and supply chain activities across multiple commodities supporting Lucid Air, Gravity, and Midsize programs. The role is pivotal in ensuring the sourcing of quality suppliers, aggressive pricing, and developing relationships with suppliers in support of commodity strategies. This role will support all commodities on the vehicle less Battery and Powertrain.Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute global procurement strategies for direct automotive materials.
• Manage a team across California, Arizona, and Michigan.
• Identify cost-reduction opportunities through strategic sourcing and negotiations.
• Lead supplier selection, contract negotiation, and relationship management.
• Build, manage, and mentor a high-performing procurement team.
• Implement and maintain procurement policies and best practices.
• Evaluate and manage global supplier performance.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders.
• Monitor and report on key procurement KPIs.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 10–15 years of progressive procurement experience.
• Strong knowledge of global sourcing and supplier management.
• Proven track record of delivering cost savings and supply chain resilience.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
• Familiarity with procurement software and ERP systems (SAP, Coupa, etc.).
