Lead Security Engineer

Job Description

Interface.ai, a leading AI provider for banks and credit unions, is seeking a Lead Security Engineer to enhance their Application and Cloud Security programs. This role involves designing and enforcing security best practices across the codebase, cloud infrastructure, development lifecycle, and production environments. The Lead Security Engineer will collaborate with engineering, product, and compliance teams to integrate security into build, deploy, and delivery processes, fostering a shift-left security culture.Responsibilities include:

• Performing security assessments, including threat modeling and penetration testing.
• Building and maintaining secure SDLC practices and integrating security checks into CI/CD pipelines.
• Guiding teams in secure design patterns and continuously monitoring and remediating vulnerabilities.
• Designing and maintaining secure configurations for AWS environments.
• Implementing and managing security services and defining infrastructure-as-code security controls.
• Ensuring centralized, secure log collection, monitoring, and alerting.
• Collaborating with developers early in the SDLC and ensuring security is embedded into architectural decisions.
• Supporting compliance initiatives and establishing internal security policies.

Requirements:

• 6+ years of experience in security engineering with a focus on application and cloud security.
• Proficiency with programming languages like Java, Python, JavaScript, and web technologies.
• In-depth knowledge of application security vulnerabilities and cloud security architecture (AWS).
• Experience with DevSecOps tools and practices.
• Hands-on experience in implementing industry best practices in access control and encryption.
• Excellent communication skills and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
