Job Description
Anchor Point Studios, a NetEase Games studio, is seeking a Technical Animator to join their team in Barcelona. This role acts as a bridge between artists and animators, collaborating closely with various teams to create and maintain a high-quality pipeline from DCC into Engine. The Technical Animator will have the opportunity to influence the evolving look and feel of a new game at an early stage.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with Art, Rigging, Animation, and Engineering teams.
- Create and document technical animation processes.
- Collaborate on animation state machines, behaviors, and runtime solutions.
- Implement animations in the engine, managing blueprints and assets.
- Design, create, and maintain character rigs.
- Gather feedback and improve rigs.
- Manage tasks and deadlines independently.
Requirements:
- Demonstrable AAA experience with shipped titles.
- Expert knowledge in Maya and UE4/5.
- Experience with Control Rig/IKRig and Animation Blueprints.
- Fundamental knowledge of deformer physics and dynamics.
- Proficient scripting in Python.
- Experience in keyframed and motion capture pipelines.
- Experience with character optimization techniques.
