Job Description
KAYAK, a leading travel search engine, is seeking an SEO Analyst to join their team in Berlin. The SEO Analyst will play a crucial role in driving large-scale organic growth and visibility through on-page and technical SEO, across traditional search engines and within Large Language Model (LLM) ecosystems. The ideal candidate will blend creativity with data-driven analysis to improve landing pages, page components, and site architecture, while conducting technical audits and competitor research to enhance impact. They will also track industry trends and performance insights, sharing actionable findings with the wider SEO team and collaborators.
In this role, the SEO Analyst will:
- Help set and implement the SEO strategy for 36 domains (in 33 countries) with up to 8 travel verticals each.
- Continually test and iterate on landing page templates, modules and content to improve both user experience, SERP performance and LLM visibility.
- Focus on optimising product for both SEO and UX, keyword analysis for onsite improvements and new landing page opportunities, CTR experiments, content creation strategies & technical SEO audits.
- Work closely with the dedicated SEO engineering team to optimize and improve SEO product landing pages and drive product development to make real business impact.
- Continuously evaluate the impact of evolving SEO trends, search engine algorithm changes, AI advancements, and its impacts on SEO and LLM search visibility.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to proactively refine strategies in response to ongoing industry shifts.
- Set clear briefs and requirements, testing schedules and delivering post-implementation analysis back to the wider team and business.
- Coordinate efforts in the team and with partners across the global organization.
- Work with a variety of sophisticated internal and external SEO tools to analyze opportunities, quantify performance and monitor competitors.
- Contribute ideas and be a highly credible and influential member of the organization.
KAYAK is looking for someone who has:
- A proven track record in the SEO industry (preferably with an in-house team), background in travel or ecommerce SEO preferred.
- A strategic understanding of large-scale SEO: projects that scale globally and bring measurable results; optimizing the crawling, indexing & “page rank” distribution of large enterprise websites.
- Familiarity and strong curiosity about AI technologies and SEO tooling (Google Search Console, SEMrush, Screaming frog, Chat GPT, Gemini)
- Strong understanding of and experience in technical SEO and are proficient in modern front end markup (e.g HTML; Schema, CSS, JS etc)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent quantitative skills – proficiency with numbers and data analysis is needed.
