Job Description
Whatnot, the largest livestream shopping platform in North America and Europe, is seeking a Senior Communications Manager to lead their storytelling efforts in Germany. This role is based in Berlin and reports to the VP, Communications. The Communications team at Whatnot works across all areas of the business, shaping external and internal perceptions of the company.
Role involves:
- Developing and leading the communications strategy in Germany.
- Highlighting the power of live commerce and Whatnot's sellers.
- Building trust in the platform related to user safety and data privacy policies.
- Building Whatnot’s brand and reputation through media relations and crisis communications.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of Public Relations or corporate communications experience.
- Strong understanding of the media, cultural, and policy landscape in Germany.
- Fluent German and English speaker.
- Experience working on Trust & Safety issues and crisis management.
