NewGlobe, an organization focused on transforming public education systems globally, is seeking an Associate, IT Operations in Dutse, Jigawa, Nigeria. This role involves providing technical support to school staff, ensuring the smooth operation of technology at the last mile.Responsibilities:
  • Provide first-line technical support to school staff remotely and in person.
  • Visit operational sites to deploy and maintain academy technology.
  • Support teaching accessories, including smartphones and tablets.
  • Ensure the reliability of internet service and the computer environment.
  • Install and configure operating systems and software.
  • Maintain equipment by performing upgrades and routine procedures.
  • Provide excellent customer service support and adhere to service management principles.
  • Maintain records of software and hardware problems.
  • Use data to anticipate and resolve issues.
  • Fix teaching technology hardware issues.
Requirements:
  • Minimum two years of experience in the ICT environment.
  • Ability to use tools like soldering irons for hardware repairs.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and fixing hardware issues on tablets and smartphones.
  • Working technical knowledge of current protocols, operating systems, and standards.
  • Excellent knowledge of PC hardware and software troubleshooting.
  • Basic experience with routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Experience with Microsoft suite applications.
  • Understanding of TCP/IP and Local Area Networks.
  • Excellent writing and oral communication skills.
  • Good research skills.
  • Knowledge of Android operating system and smartphones.
  • Bachelor's degree in IT or related field.
  • Vendor neutral industry certification (Cisco CCNA, CompTIA Network+, A+, or MCTIP).
