NewGlobe, founded in 2007, partners with governments to improve basic education. They provide school management, professional development, instructional design, and technological support. NewGlobe seeks a Business Intelligence Engineer to consolidate and standardize reporting capabilities, establish a data warehouse, and partner with stakeholders to evolve data offerings.

The Business Intelligence engineer will be part of the newly formed Business Intelligence team that will focus on creating and maintaining the Analytical Dashboards used across the company.

What this role involves:

  • Contributing to data governance.
  • Managing BI requests.
  • Developing requirements for analytical capabilities.
  • Building and maintaining data ETL pipelines.
  • Improving data systems' scalability and accuracy.
  • Monitoring data warehouse servers.
  • Leading and supporting the BI team.
  • Providing performance management for the BI team.

Requirements:

  • Expertise with Microsoft data platform (SQL Server 2019, SSIS, SSRS).
  • Fluency with warehouse design and dimension modeling.
  • Passion for Business Intelligence Development across a variety of tools and technologies
  • Basic DBA skills.
  • Familiarity with version control, continuous delivery, and test driven development.
  • Understanding of NoSQL databases and unstructured data.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • 4-5 years of experience as a data engineer/BI Lead
