Software Engineer, Frontier Prototyping

Anthropic is seeking a versatile and collaborative Full Stack Engineer to join their Frontier Prototyping team. This role involves rapidly prototyping and testing emerging user experiences powered by Anthropic's latest AI capabilities. The engineer will work closely with customers and researchers to create innovative interfaces and interactions that unlock new model capabilities while gathering critical feedback to advance the models. This position is at the intersection of cutting-edge research and real-world application, building prototypes that shape the future of human-AI interaction.Responsibilities include:

• Rapidly prototype full stack applications showcasing emerging AI capabilities.
• Collaborate with research teams to translate model capabilities into intuitive user interfaces.
• Build and deploy prototypes for internal and external partners, iterating quickly based on feedback.
• Coordinate across teams to integrate prototypes with existing infrastructure.
• Advocate for user experience in the research and development process.
• Provide feedback to research teams on model effectiveness and areas for improvement.
• Generate insights and documentation to guide the transition of prototypes to product teams.

Requirements:

• 6+ years of experience building full stack applications with a focus on user experience.
• Experience with rapid prototyping.
• Strong technical skills across modern web development stacks (React, Node.js, Python, etc.).
• Comfortable working with APIs, databases, and cloud technologies.
• Strong communication skills and user empathy.
• Results-oriented with a bias toward flexibility and continuous learning.
