Job Description

NewGlobe is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join their Software Engineering team. This role is pivotal in fostering a culture of automation and repeatability across all tech teams. The candidate will work closely with the VP of Software Development and IT Operations teams, acting as a connector between departments.

Responsibilities:

  • Evangelize a culture of automation across tech teams.
  • Own, maintain, and evolve continuous delivery platforms.
  • Ensure high availability and reliability of continuous delivery infrastructure.
  • Help resolve automated testing issues.
  • Review and improve the server provisioning process.
  • Collaborate on next-generation deployment architecture.
  • Design, build, and improve production monitoring and alerting capabilities.
  • Firefight production issues.

Requirements:

  • Experience in solving problems with highly available production systems and building solutions to prevent recurrence.
  • Experience in Site Reliability, Release, and building, maintain complex and scalable systems
  • Solid experience in C# and .NET environments.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code technologies.
  • Hands-on experience in Code as Infrastructure tools (Puppet, Chef, Ansible).
  • Experience with AWS or other public cloud services.
  • Solid foundation in Linux administration and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with containerization (Docker) and containerization infrastructure (Kubernetes, DockerSwarm, etc.)
  • Expertise in Windows and Linux, fluency with Bash or PowerShell.
  • Experience in Kubernetes, Networking, Security or Storage is desirable.
  • Experience with Prometheus, Graphite, Grafana, Kibana, and Elasticsearch
  • 3+ years of commercial DevOps experience at the enterprise level.
  • 5+ years overall commercial software experience at the enterprise level.
  • Hands-on experience across continuous delivery platforms (e.g., Jenkins, Go.CD, CircleCI, TFS, Octopus).
