Job Description
Intercom is seeking an AI Platform Engineer to join their Builder Tools - AI Enablement Team. This role is focused on transforming Intercom's software engineering organization into an AI-first environment. The AI Platform Engineer will be responsible for developing and enabling the widespread adoption of effective AI tooling across codebases, developer environments, and internal tooling. The primary goal is to eliminate toil, reduce drag, and boost productivity for every engineer at Intercom.
Role involves:
- Building and evolving automation agents for routine maintenance work.
- Making AI-powered tools the default in development environments.
- Helping make codebases more navigable and AI-friendly.
- Driving a continuous feedback and learning loop for AI tooling.
- Reducing friction and building confidence in AI adoption.
Requirements:
- Proven engineering track record in a SaaS or platform context.
- Experience introducing new tools or workflows.
- Familiarity with modern AI-powered developer tools.
- Deep knowledge of at least one major programming language.
- Focus on developer experience and automation.
- Strong communication and enabling skills.
- Bias to action and pragmatic approach.
