Senior Backend Engineer (UVM, Avalor)

Job Description

Zscaler is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join their UVM team within Avalor. Avalor, a part of Zscaler, focuses on curating and contextualizing data from security and business tools to help companies address their security risks. The ideal candidate will be passionate about data and improving companies' security posture.

The Senior Backend Engineer will report to the Senior Manager, Software Engineering and will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality, scalable backend services within a microservices architecture.

Role involves:

• Developing and maintaining high-quality, scalable backend services using Java/Spring Boot.
• Participating in design from scratch to production.
• Delivering high-quality features for a high-scale web environment.
• Monitoring the performance and cost of services in production.
• Staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
• Integrating with backend, frontend, product, and UX team members.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience with Java/Spring Boot developing SaaS applications.
• Proficiency in a microservices environment, including experience with cloud and Kubernetes.
• B.Sc. in Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience with AWS (Preferred).
• Experience in leading features with other team members or cross teams (Preferred).
