Job Description
Markforged is seeking a Strategic Account Manager to drive direct-led business growth and generate new revenue streams. The Strategic Account Manager will be responsible for developing a sales pipeline, crafting strategic business transformation proposals, nurturing strategic partnerships, and closing large deals at the CxO level.Role involves:
  • Identifying new business opportunities and potential clients.
  • Developing a sustainable sales pipeline through outbound initiatives.
  • Researching, drafting, and presenting business transformational proposals.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with strategic partners.
  • Qualifying prospects and moving opportunities through the sales pipeline.
  • Articulating Industry 4.0 insights to help manufacturers embrace additive manufacturing.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field or equivalent experience; Master's degree preferred.
  • Significant and proven experience in a business development role.
  • Experience in direct sales to C-level executives.
  • Past experience in high tech sales, such as 3D CAD Sales, Solidworks, Autodesk or Robots Automation is beneficial.
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong understanding of the design and manufacturing industry trends and market dynamics.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and written.
