Job Description
Markforged is seeking a Strategic Account Manager to drive direct-led business growth and generate new revenue streams. The Strategic Account Manager will be responsible for developing a sales pipeline, crafting strategic business transformation proposals, nurturing strategic partnerships, and closing large deals at the CxO level.Role involves:
- Identifying new business opportunities and potential clients.
- Developing a sustainable sales pipeline through outbound initiatives.
- Researching, drafting, and presenting business transformational proposals.
- Building and maintaining relationships with strategic partners.
- Qualifying prospects and moving opportunities through the sales pipeline.
- Articulating Industry 4.0 insights to help manufacturers embrace additive manufacturing.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field or equivalent experience; Master's degree preferred.
- Significant and proven experience in a business development role.
- Experience in direct sales to C-level executives.
- Past experience in high tech sales, such as 3D CAD Sales, Solidworks, Autodesk or Robots Automation is beneficial.
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Strong understanding of the design and manufacturing industry trends and market dynamics.
- Excellent communication skills both verbally and written.
