Werkstudent (w/m/d) - Data Engineer AI Solutions

Job Description

IONOS, a leading European provider of cloud infrastructure, cloud services, and hosting, is seeking a working student (w/m/d) to join their Data Engineering team within the AI Solutions division. This role is based in Karlsruhe.

The AI Solutions team at IONOS focuses on implementing data-driven Proof of Concepts and projects for business partners using an open-source Big-Data platform. The ideal candidate will provide active support in the area of Data Engineering.

Role Involves:

• Working with data from various business areas within the company.
• Supporting Data Scientists in the implementation and evaluation of AI and ML projects.
• Implementing ETL jobs with Apache Nifi.
• Further developing the Trino data platform.
• Developing new solutions and approaches for data processing.

Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in Computer Science, Business Informatics, a natural science, or engineering science with a strong IT focus (min. 1-2 years remaining).
• Knowledge of databases and SQL.
• Basic knowledge of a programming language (e.g., Python, R, Go, Java).
• Structured and independent way of working.
• Basic knowledge of Linux and shell scripting.
• Fluent German and English skills (written and spoken).
