Job Description
Topsort is seeking a hands-on and client-facing Sales Engineer to join their team. The Sales Engineer will play a pivotal role in translating real-world business needs into powerful, scalable product solutions. He will collaborate directly with sales, product, and engineering teams to support pre-sales conversations and lead technical implementations with Topsort. Role involves:
- Owning technical discovery by partnering with Account Executives to uncover prospect needs and identify technical requirements.
- Delivering tailored demos that highlight key use cases and platform capabilities.
- Building trust with stakeholders by acting as a consultative technical expert during the sales process.
- Designing high-level architectures and integration strategies.
- Handling technical objections and supporting RFPs & Security Reviews.
- Collaborating internally to relay field insights to product and engineering teams.
- Continuously learning about the product, integrations, and industry trends.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in a technical pre-sales, solution engineering, or implementation role.
- Strong familiarity with APIs, system integrations, and web technologies.
- Proven ability to communicate complex technical ideas clearly.
- Demonstrated success working directly with enterprise clients.
- A pragmatic, customer-first mindset.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and making decisions with incomplete information.
- Clear sense of ownership.
- Experience collaborating with product and engineering teams.
- Bachelor’s degree and above in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
