Senior People Business Partner

dbt Labs is seeking a Senior People Business Partner to support its rapidly growing Engineering and G&A organizations. This role is crucial for aligning people strategies with business goals and ensuring the organization is prepared for future needs. The Senior People Business Partner will collaborate closely with the Chief Technology Officer, Chief Financial Officer, and their teams to develop leaders, drive organizational effectiveness, engage employees, foster an inclusive culture, and prioritize high-impact solutions.

The role reports to the Director, People Business Partners and involves both strategic and tactical responsibilities. The Senior People Business Partner will have the opportunity to make a significant strategic impact by partnering directly with C- and VP-level leaders globally, while also contributing to the programs and processes that maintain and enhance the rhythm of the business.

What this role involves:

• Serving as a trusted thought partner and coach to the Chief Technology Officer and Chief Finance Officer.
• Acting as the primary point of contact for all people-related matters for team members at all levels.
• Collaborating on workforce planning, talent development, and retention strategies.
• Executing key People processes, including compensation planning and performance reviews.
• Providing guidance and support to business leaders through organizational changes.
• Working on succession planning and talent pipeline development.
• Leading special projects, such as process optimization and policy implementation.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of HR Business Partner experience, partnering with c-level executives and senior leaders.
• Experience supporting engineering and finance teams.
• Ability to establish relationships at all levels of the organization.
• Experience working for a high-growth company during international expansion.
• Strong leadership and influencing skills.
• Critical thinking skills and the ability to problem-solve in ambiguous situations.
• Superb judgment and integrity.
• Attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple priorities.
