Lead Content Specialist

Lightspeed is seeking a Lead Content Specialist to be the voice of Lightspeed Restaurant for the UK and European markets. This role is a key member of Lightspeed’s content team, responsible for creating high-quality content across various channels and formats. The Lead Content Specialist will support the hospitality marketing team with campaign ideation, execution, editorial planning, and strategic content. This role will have a direct impact on brand visibility and positioning Lightspeed as the leading platform for restaurants.Responsibilities:

• Concepting and developing high-quality content for brand and seasonal campaigns, PR, product launches, and event materials.
• Reviewing press releases and writing bylines, identifying opportunities to extend their impact.
• Driving the social media calendar for the EMEA region, ensuring local initiatives are surfaced and scaled.
• Creating standout content for the UK market, including customer stories, video scripts, and sales enablement materials.
• Creating and managing website content with a focus on SEO.
• Monitoring and analyzing content performance across key channels.
• Maintaining a unified brand voice and style across all platforms.
• Developing a good knowledge of key products, customers, and businesses.
• Staying up to date on hospitality industry news and trends.

Requirements:

• Native-level proficiency in British English.
• 6+ years of experience in SaaS marketing, journalism, or branded content roles.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Proven ability to craft and execute engaging social media content and campaigns.
• Demonstrated experience creating content that supports brand and communication objectives.
• A strategic mindset with the ability to align content to business goals and regional market needs.
• A collaborative spirit and the ability to work across teams and time zones.
• Familiarity with content management systems like Wordpress and Hootsuite.
