Job Description
Flow Traders is seeking an Experienced Trading Operations Engineer to join their Trading Operations team in Amsterdam. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a leading proprietary trading firm known for its entrepreneurial and innovative culture. The candidate will work within the technology landscape to ensure the performance and stability of proprietary trading systems and related hardware. They will collaborate with various departments to gain comprehensive knowledge of the trading applications.

Role involves:
  • Troubleshooting in a fast-paced environment and implementing solutions.
  • Writing, testing, and integrating monitoring solutions using APIs.
  • Fine-tuning Linux-based trading environments.
  • Operating distributed systems landscape in collaboration with Cloud SREs.
  • Automating infrastructure and application management.
  • Building, using, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
  • Conducting user acceptance testing.
  • Automating complex workflows with scripting.

Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of experience in Trading Operations/Reliability for a High-Frequency Trading firm.
  • Strong knowledge of Unix/Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, JavaScript, or C++.
  • Knowledge and interest in networking.
  • Experience with technologies like Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, Terraform, or GCP is a plus.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Good decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
