Job Description
Teachable is seeking a Software Engineer II to join their Creator Engagement pod. This role focuses on supporting creators on the Teachable platform, enabling them to host and sell content effectively. The Software Engineer II will work remotely with US-based teams and will be responsible for writing, testing, and deploying Javascript and Ruby code. Teachable is now part of the Hotmart Company portfolio.
The Software Engineer II will report to the Engineering Manager.
What this role involves:
- Writing, testing, and deploying Javascript and Ruby code.
- Breaking down epics into smaller user stories and tasks.
- Participating in team sprint rituals (stand-up, planning, refinement, retro).
- Identifying areas for improvement in the codebase.
- Communicating effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Adapting to roadblocks and proactively resolving issues.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of hands-on full-stack experience building production web applications in an agile, startup environment.
- Proficiency in Ruby on Rails, Go, or any backend languages
- Proficiency in JavaScript, React, and CSS.
- Fluency in English
- Ability to work and problem-solve independently.
