Senior Platform Engineer II (Infrastructure)

Job Description

SpotOn is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer II (Infrastructure) to join their team in Krakow. SpotOn helps restaurants and small businesses compete and win with flexible payment and software technology.This role involves:

• Creating platform tooling and processes.
• Building, managing, governing, maintaining, and improving compute resources based on Kubernetes in AWS.
• Creating and maintaining Cloud Infrastructure with an Infrastructure-as-code approach.
• Participating in on-call activities.
• Supporting and educating product development teams.
• Seeking continual improvement in business and technical processes.

The ideal candidate should have:

• Infrastructure as code experience (Terraform preferred).
• Programming experience (Python, Golang, or similar).
• Experience building and supporting cloud applications and resources in AWS.
• 2+ years running production workloads in multi-cluster Kubernetes environments.
• 3+ years working with DevOps methodologies.
• 3+ years working, supporting, and building web applications.
• Some experience in building Kubernetes operators, or alternatively a software development background.
• Strong independent troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English (min. B2 level).
