Accounting Manager

Job Description

AXS Germany GmbH, a subsidiary of AEG, is seeking an Accounting Manager to join their team in Hamburg. The company sells millions of tickets each year for numerous partners across North America, Europe, and Asia.This role involves working within a team to manage ongoing accounting processes and assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. The Accounting Manager will also support the creation of budgets, forecasts, and ad-hoc analyses. Responsibilities include reconciling general and subsidiary ledgers, clarifying open items, staying updated on relevant legal and accounting regulations, and assisting the team with their implementation. Furthermore, the role involves preparing and submitting preliminary tax returns, managing bank reconciliations, and ensuring cash flow.Responsibilities:

• Handle ongoing accounting processes
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Support the creation of budgets, forecasts, and ad-hoc analyses
• Reconcile general and subsidiary ledgers
• Prepare and submit preliminary tax returns
• Manage bank reconciliations and ensure cash flow

Requirements:

• Completed commercial training or studies, ideally with a focus on finance or accounting
• Several years of professional experience in finance/accounting, controlling, as a tax assistant, or in comparable activities
• Sound knowledge of MS Office or Google, knowledge of accounting software is an advantage
• Basic knowledge of the relevant accounting regulations (e.g. HGB, IFRS)
• Ability to work independently, accurately and in a structured manner
• Analytical thinking and a high degree of initiative
• Strong affinity for numbers and IT
• Very good organizational and communication skills
