Job Description
Archer, an aerospace company in San Jose, California, is seeking a Stator Manufacturing Engineer to contribute to the development of its all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft. Responsibilities: - Development of electric motor processes (stator/rotor).
- Collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Drive Design for Manufacturability efforts.
- Conduct process failure mode and analysis (PFMEA).
- Develop manufacturing build plan.
- Create training documentation.
- Design manufacturing equipment and fixtures.
- Participate in prototype builds.
- Develop tooling and automation equipment specifications.
- Implement process control strategies.
- Manage equipment procurement and deployment.
- Support first unit builds and testing.
Requirements: - 5+ years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering field.
- Experience in electric motor manufacturing (stator/rotor).
- Experience with winding, laser, and TIG welding processes.
- Experience commissioning and improving equipment.
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing.
- Proficiency in 2D & 3D CAD.
- Experience in statistical process control and GD&T.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to maintain organization in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to travel 10% of the time.
Benefits: - Targeted base pay between $115,260 - $135,000.
