Payroll Specialist

Job Description

Adyen is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join their team in San Francisco. Adyen is the financial technology platform of choice for leading companies. By providing end-to-end payments capabilities, data-driven insights, and financial products in a single global solution, Adyen helps businesses achieve their ambitions faster.This role involves processing in-house payroll in the US using Workday Payroll, and coordinating payroll in the LATAM / EMEA region with external payroll providers. The Payroll Specialist will report to the Global Payroll Team Lead and be part of the Amsterdam-based payroll team.What this role involves:

• Championing payroll automation, data, and scale.
• Managing US payroll data using Workday Payroll.
• Ensuring payroll compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Collaborating with accounting and finance teams on journals and reconciliation.
• Participating in audits for 401K, Workers Compensation, and general audits.
• Providing payroll reports to HR, Finance, Accounting, Tax, and Equity.
• Processing payments for final paychecks, adjustments, and special pay.

Requirements:

• 2-5 years of US in-house payroll processing experience.
• Strong knowledge of Workday and Workday Payroll.
• CPP preferred.
• Experience processing equity transactions.
• Understanding of US payroll compliance and taxes.
• Project management skills.
