Job Description
Adyen is seeking a proactive Internal Auditor to focus on financial and prudential risks. This role supports the company in building an ethical and sustainable business. The Internal Auditor will play a key role in helping Adyen achieve its long-term goals by providing risk-based, independent, and objective assurance and advice. They will join a small team that is building the internal audit function and work closely with the Management Board and functional teams worldwide.

What this role involves:
  • Becoming a trusted advisor for the first and second line functions.
  • Preparing, executing, and reporting on financial, prudential, and operational risk-related internal audit assignments.
  • Providing management with an independent assessment of the effectiveness of processes and the adequacy of risk management and the internal control environment.
  • Facilitating the definition of smart solutions to identified deficiencies and/or opportunities for value creation.
  • Identifying opportunities that contribute to the improvement of the audit methodology and managing internal projects accordingly.
  • Monitoring and analyzing local market developments, regulatory changes, and business activities to contribute to audit risk assessment and planning activities.

Requirements:
  • Proactive, energetic, self-starter with a hands-on mentality.
  • 5+ years of relevant working experience as an auditor within a professional accountant’s firm, risk advisory firm, or internal audit firm.
  • Good knowledge of banking products, processes, and risks.
  • Good knowledge of data analytics.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills; excellent English.
  • International experience and comfortable working with different cultures and mindsets.
  • Happy to travel.
