Job Description

Zenvia is seeking a Database Reliability Engineer (DBRE) to contribute to the construction, maintenance, and development of its products. The ideal candidate will be passionate about technology, databases, reliability, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

The role involves:

  • Developing and managing technical projects in collaboration with technology teams.
  • Building relationships with peers.
  • Designing and implementing improvements to enhance availability, scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Creating automated routines for infrastructure provisioning using automation tools.
  • Resolving incidents and creating postmortem documents.
  • Working on the reliability and performance of databases within SRE squads.
  • Analyzing solutions and implementing best practices for SQL and NoSQL database clusters.
  • Working on the observability of relevant metrics.
  • Automating database infrastructure to facilitate the availability of new database clusters.
  • Planning growth and managing the capacity of database infrastructure.
  • Supporting troubleshooting in production environments.
  • Building monitoring and triggers based on symptoms and SLOs.
  • Documenting actions to transform knowledge into repeatable actions and automation.

Requirements:

  • Experience with Cloud Providers (AWS/Azure/GCP).
  • Experience with private cloud (VMWare).
  • Experience with IaC (Terraform, Ansible, and Gitlab).
  • Ability to share knowledge with team members.
  • Experience with SQL (PostgreSQL and MySQL) and NoSQL (DocumentDB, DynamoDB & MongoDB) database administration.
  • Experience with Linux operating systems (Redhat, Debian & Ubuntu).
  • Experience with Observability tools (Prometheus, Thanos, Grafana, CloudWatch, and Zabbix).
  • Experience with shell scripts and programming languages (Bash, Shell).
  • Creativity, willingness to learn new technologies, and good communication skills.
