Global Atlantic Financial Group is seeking an Associate to join their Retail Insurance Legal team in Des Moines, Iowa. This role supports the firm's Insurance businesses by ensuring product contracts comply with laws and regulations. The Associate will gain new product approvals for various annuity products and support the product implementation team.Responsibilities:

• Draft contract provisions for new products.
• Develop project timelines for state product submissions.
• Analyze legal standards of state insurance laws.
• Correspond and negotiate with state regulators.
• Oversee and prepare new product submissions in SERFF.
• Review and file consumer advertising.
• Maintain record of regulated forms history.
• Support new product implementation efforts.
• Support internal operations and third-party administrators.
• Maintain professional contact with state insurance departments.

Qualifications:

• Seven or more (7+) years of experience in the annuity and/or life insurance industry.
• Strong knowledge of insurance products and sales practices.
• Knowledge and experience in annuity, 401K annuity, pension risk transfer, and/or funding agreement experience preferred.
• Exceptional communication abilities.
• Familiarity with key aspects of insurance administration.
• PC skills, including experience with Microsoft Office, Adobe Professional and other applicable software.
• A working knowledge of regulatory requirements as they pertain to life insurance and annuities and experience with SERFF.
