Guidepost Montessori School at Bridgewater is seeking a Lead Children's House Guide. This role offers the opportunity to empower 3 to 6-year-olds, fostering independence, self-confidence, and a love for learning.

The Lead Guide (Teacher) will support a mixed-age class of preschool children in a Montessori environment. They will prepare an environment that fosters independence and captivates a child’s interest, providing personalized support to each child. The Guide will work with children individually and in small groups, demonstrating how to use materials and perform activities, and giving precise language to understand their experiences.

The Lead Guide will bring their best to support every child in reaching their highest potential.

Role involves:
  • Observing each child to understand and meet their needs.
  • Preparing an orderly environment that fosters concentration and independence.
  • Cultivating independence and self-confidence.
  • Providing individual and small-group lessons.
  • Forming personal connections and cultivating a community of respect.
  • Communicating and collaborating with parents.
Ideal candidate has:
  • Obtained or is willing to obtain a Montessori diploma for 3-6.
  • Experience working with children ages 3-6 in a group setting.
  • Familiarity with child-led philosophies or open to learning more.
  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) or Child Development credits.
  • Earned a Bachelor’s Degree (any subject).
