Guidepost Montessori is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Lead and Assistant Teachers to support mixed-age classrooms in their Chicago and Illinois Suburb schools. The role involves nurturing children in an environment designed for growth, exploration, and independence. Guidepost Montessori provides a carefully prepared environment that fosters independence and captivates a child’s interest, offering personalized support to each child.Role involves:

• Observing each child to understand their needs.
• Preparing an orderly environment that fosters trust and independence.
• Cultivating independence and self-confidence.
• Providing lessons to encourage practical life skills and language development.
• Forming personal connections with each child and cultivating a community of respect.
• Communicating and collaborating with parents.

Ideal candidate has:

• Interest in pursuing certified Montessori training or prior Montessori diploma.
• Experience working with children ages 0-6 in a group setting.
• Familiarity with child-led philosophies or openness to learning more.
• A minimum of 6 Early Childhood Education (ECE) or Child Development college credits.
• Earned a Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred).
