Job Description

Fortra is seeking a Product Test Engineer III to contribute to their team in Armenia. The ideal candidate will be responsible for testing and performing QA on Fortra's software products. This role involves estimating, designing, and implementing testing for new features, creating and executing test cases, and engaging in risk analysis.

The Product Test Engineer III will also reproduce complex issues, share product knowledge with the support team, and mentor less-experienced testers. They will direct test activities, participate in product design reviews, and maintain test automation regressions.

What this role involves:

  • Estimating, designing, and implementing testing for new major features/functionality
  • Creating and executing functional and non-functional test cases
  • Engaging team in risk analysis and providing recommendations
  • Reproducing complex issues within the assigned software
  • Sharing knowledge of product with support team members
  • Mentoring less-experienced testers
  • Directing test activities of multiple testers on a single project
  • Participating in product design reviews
  • Test automation regression maintenance & reporting

Requirements:

  • Advanced knowledge of assigned product(s)
  • Excellent IT knowledge for multiple platforms (Windows, IBM i, Linux, SQL, etc.)
  • Excellent knowledge of a major scripting/programming language on the product’s platform
  • Good knowledge of one or more additional scripting/programming languages
  • Excellent knowledge of exploratory testing
  • Strong knowledge of non-functional test techniques
  • Strong knowledge of test automation principles, tools, and patterns
  • Required skills: TypeScript, Automated Testing Frameworks (Cypress, Playwright, Selenium), Git, experience with CI/CD, Testing Strategy and Exploratory Testing, experience with AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes
